Custom SMTP Banner Trumps E-Mail Disclaimers
I’ve expressed my hatred for those bogus disclaimers tacked onto the end of e-mails before. Russell Coker has an interesting approach for dealing with these signatures. He has configured his SMTP server to provide the URL of a page containing his “Conditions of Sending Email” at the first stage of the connection. Completing the connection indicates acceptance of his conditions.
