Most Ridiculous User Agreement/Privacy Policy Ever
From those crazy lawyers at Dozier—the same people who tried to use copyright law to prevent posting of a cease-and-desist letter—comes the most outrageous user agreement I’ve ever read. It forbids, among other things, unauthorized linking, viewing the (horrid) source code, and using their name . . . ever . . . even if they’re representing you. Seriously.
Oh yeah: By visiting TerminalDigit or viewing this text on any other web site, you agree to waive any and all rights with respect to your intellectual property (including, but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets), privacy, freedom of speech, and general happiness, and agree to indemnify TerminalDigit and its owner against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever. Moreover, you agree never to contact TerminalDigit, its owner, or its hosting provider by any method for any reason, and you also agree that neither you nor your agents will ever breach a zone extending 10 kilometers in all directions from the centroid of the body of TerminalDigit’s owner. You further agree that this user agreement nullifies, supersedes, and overrides any contract which you may have posted on your own web site or communicated to TerminalDigit or its owner in any other manner at any time in the past, present, or future.
