Can You Hear Me Now?
My Samsung SPH-A900 went for a swim. I took out the battery, let it dry out, etc., but it is not happy. It powers up, but pressing the buttons has unpredictable results and the white “flash” LED for the camera is always on. I’m hoping the circuits aren’t really fried and there’s actually some stubborn water still hanging out in the crevices that has yet to evaporate. When I get stupid, I like to go all out, so I’m going to try wrapping it in a ball of socks and sticking it in the clothes dryer to see if the heat and centrifugal force helps.
Anyway, for now, I’ve done an ESN change back to my old Sanyo SCP-6400 while I stalk Craigslist and eBay for a new Blade. :-( Ah well . . . at least I had the foresight to back up my address book on my computer.
Update (03/20/2007): That clothes dryer thing actually worked! Phone is 100% functional. Switched the ESN back this morning. :-D
